Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to lead full cycle accounting for Government Contracting clients. You will manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, and project costing while ensuring FAR/CAS/DCAA compliance and GAAP-adherent reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 3+ years GovCon experience, and advanced Excel skills; CPA or candidate preferred. Collaboration across teams is expected in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel/Word) required; advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with GovCon ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee full cycle general accounting for GovCon clients, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and federal contracting regulations; maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and project profitability analyses; monitor contract funding and costs.
