Job summary

BDO USA seeks an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to lead the full cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients. You will oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets and cash management with attention to GAAP and GovCon standards.

Key duties include month-end close, revenue recognition, contract accounting and indirect rate planning. You will ensure FAR/DCAA compliance and support in pricing, invoicing, and project profitability, while mentoring

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle general accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policy maintenance per GovCon regulations.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
• Assist with indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
• Handle project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations and profitability.
• Monitor funding and financial performance to ensure contract profitability.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis.
