Salesforce is seeking a Senior/Lead Distributed Systems Software Engineer for GovCloud. You will design and optimize cloud-scale back-end services ensuring reliability across data centers, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven workflows and secure production-ready code.

Expect deep concurrency expertise and experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AI tools to push secure, high-performance software. On-call rotations and collaboration across teams are part of the role.

Qualifications

5+ years backend software development experience.
Deep knowledge of Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with Agile development methodology and Test Driven Development.
Experience with critical infrastructure services including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.
A genuine AI-first approach to engineering and using AI tools in development workflows.

Responsibilities

Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms across public cloud platforms.
Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
Build and ship production-grade software with AI as a core part of development workflow.
Contribute to open source tech and infrastructure as code practices.
Develop microservices on Kubernetes, Docker, and Mesos.
Write and orchestrate systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows.
Critically evaluate code for correctness, security, and performance.
Participate in on-call rotation to keep services available.
