Qualifications

• Related technical degree required.
• 5+ years backend software development experience.
• Deep knowledge of programming in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service.
• Experience with Agile development methodology and TDD.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting apps.
• Experience with distributed databases and relational databases like Postgres a plus.
• AI-first approach to engineering and using AI tools in workflows.
• Advanced prompt engineering skills for reliable AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools and validation platforms.
• Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
• Build and ship production-grade software with AI as a core part of development.
• Use and contribute to open source tech and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Write microservices on Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos.
• Design AI-integrated workflows balancing live-site management and feature delivery.
• Contribute to the system context repository for designs, constraints, and standards.
• Critically evaluate code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
• Resolve complex technical issues and drive system availability improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations to keep services operational.
• Balance reliability with velocity in a large-scale production environment.
