Job summary

American Golf Corporation seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to oversee greens, trees, landscaping, and maintenance across the course. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and lead the maintenance team to deliver high-quality playing conditions.

Responsibilities include safety training, staffing, equipment programs, and overseeing irrigation and course projects. The role requires strong leadership and a commitment to environmentally responsible course management.

Qualifications

• State pesticide license required.
• GCSAA Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Two-year degree required (four-year degree preferred) in turf management, agronomy, chemical applications, soils, fertilization, or related field.
• Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the golf course in proper playing condition according to company standards.
• Supervise course construction projects and oversee planting and care of turf, plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Develop and propose the annual maintenance plan and budget; implement and adhere to the approved plan.
• Oversee irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Create and lead a high-performance team while maintaining a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage staff; ensure co-worker satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
