Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to oversee construction, maintenance, and repair of greens, trees, landscaping, and plant life across the course. You will ensure fertilizers and pesticides comply with environmental regulations and maintain accurate records while communicating with managers, members, and guests about course conditions and safety.

You will lead the maintenance team, develop annual plans and budgets, supervise operations, and ensure high standards

Qualifications

  • State pesticide license required.
  • GCSAA Certification preferred.
  • Two-year degree in turf management, agronomy, chemical applications, soils, fertilization, or related field.
  • Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the golf course in proper playing condition according to company standards.
  • Supervise course construction projects and oversee planting and care of turf, plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Develop and propose annual maintenance plan and budget; implement and adhere to the approved plan.
  • Oversee maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, water features, roughs, and clubhouse areas.
  • Lead a high-performance team while maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff; ensure co-worker satisfaction and policy adherence.
