Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee golf course and landscaped areas under the Superintendent’s direction. You will train staff, assist with agronomic programs, and assume Superintendent responsibilities in their absence.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, irrigation, equipment, IPM programs, and capital projects, while ensuring safety and quality for daily play and tournaments. A relevant degree and pesticide license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Knowledge of IPM and agronomic maintenance practices.
• Desire for a 2- or 4-year degree in agronomy or related field is preferred.
• Licensed pesticide applicator is required or as per regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily golf course maintenance and operation.
• Act as Superintendent on duty in absence of the Superintendent.
• Diagnose agronomic issues and report, manage irrigation adjustments and scheduling.
• Supervise staff, training, scheduling, and safety meetings as directed.
• Maintain records and assist in budget and inventory management.
