Job summary

NCR Voyix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance our next-generation observability and monitoring platform in distributed cloud environments. You will design scalable Go services, collect telemetry, and integrate with cloud observability tools to deliver actionable insights into application and infrastructure performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience building scalable applications and services.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) with production-grade applications.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of observability, metrics, traces, logs, and instrumentation.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Go-based software applications and platform services.
• Build components to collect, process, and export observability and telemetry data across systems.
• Integrate with cloud-native monitoring solutions and internal SRE tooling.
• Develop APIs, plugins, and integrations for telemetry workflows.
• Collaborate with SRE, Product, Operations, and Engineering to define observability requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and best practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to improve quality and deployment efficiency.
• Stay current on observability trends, cloud-native architectures, and reliability engineering.
