Job summary

NCR Voyix Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve our next‑gen observability platform. You will design scalable Go services that collect telemetry and monitor distributed cloud environments, enhancing reliability and performance.

Work with SRE, product, and operations teams, instrument code with OpenTelemetry, and integrate with cloud-native observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog). This role drives architecture decisions for a high‑scale SaaS platform.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of professional software development experience building scalable applications and services.
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) with production-grade applications.
Experience developing cloud-native applications in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with observability concepts, metrics, traces, logs, and telemetry pipelines.
Experience instrumenting code with observability frameworks such as OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and platform services primarily using Go.
Build and enhance components for collecting, processing, and exporting observability and telemetry data across systems.
Develop services that integrate with cloud-native monitoring solutions and internal SRE tooling.
Create a monitoring platform providing insights into health, performance, and reliability.
Instrument applications to generate metrics, traces, and logs for operational visibility.
Collaborate with SRE, Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to define observability requirements.
Design APIs, plugins, and integrations for telemetry collection and workflows.
Participate in architectural discussions on distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues in cloud environments.
Mentor junior engineers with code reviews and best practices.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to improve quality and deployment efficiency.
