Qualifications

• 4+ years of production Go experience.
• Proven experience building and operating distributed backend systems in production.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and API design.
• Experience designing relational database schemas and working with SQL.
• Experience building production web applications, services, and/or APIs.
• Ability to independently own technical problems from design through production.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach to engineering and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production backend systems using Go
• Develop scalable, reliable APIs and distributed services
• Design and evolve database schemas and data models
• Build and maintain systems using SQL/PostgreSQL
• Contribute to infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines
• Work with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments
• Implement and improve observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and request tracing
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders
• Help shape technical architecture and engineering best practices as the company grows
