You will partner with product, engineering, and leadership to expand Coinbase's payment capabilities worldwide, improve reliability and observability, and deliver high-assurance financial transactions at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering for production services.
• Proficiency in Go with experience designing scalable, low-latency APIs.
• Track record of owning features end-to-end from design to production support.
• Experience with financial systems or high-volume transactional platforms with auditability.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for payment processing using Go.
• Own end-to-end delivery of payment features from design to production deployment.
• Build platform primitives and self-serve APIs for adding new payment methods and rails.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to translate requirements into plans.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across payment services.
• Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and best-practice advocacy.
