Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Payments team within the Platform organization. You will design and build scalable backend services for payment processing and APIs powering fiat on- and off-ramps globally.

You will own end-to-end delivery, partner with product managers and senior leadership to translate requirements into technical plans, and drive improvements in reliability, observability, and performance across payment services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go or similar languages, with scalable, low-latency APIs.
• Track record of end-to-end ownership in fast-moving environments.
• Experience with financial systems, payments infrastructure, or high-volume transactional systems.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.
