Job summary

Urrly is building a health-tech backend platform with a focus on reliability and scale. You will own production-grade Go backend services, APIs, and data pipelines across AWS infrastructure, working in a lean, fully remote US team.

You will collaborate with senior technical leaders to deliver enterprise-ready features, improve data flows, and harden authentication and authorization across the platform while maintaining compliance-aware practices.

Qualifications

• Strong production-tested Go engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating backend services, APIs, and data systems in AWS.
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems and debugging across services, queues, databases, and storage.
• Comfortable with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging/event systems, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Solid authentication and authorization fundamentals, including token lifecycle, session management, OAuth, and API key management.
• Ability to own scoped backend work from definition through deployment without close management.
• Experience in lean startup environments with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to complete a live coding assessment.
• Experience in health tech, wearables, biometric data, IoT, or device-connected software.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services in Go that power consumer-facing and enterprise surfaces.
• Develop and maintain REST and gRPC APIs, async workers, and SDK auth flows.
• Contribute to AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for zero-downtime deployments.
• Improve platform observability, performance, and reliability across distributed components.
• Scale the platform to handle increasing data volume and enterprise usage.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms across the platform.
• Extend developer-facing APIs and SDK backend systems for enterprise integrations.
