Job summary

Float Health is building a marketplace for specialty pharmacy and delivering care to patients at home. We’re a small engineering team with high autonomy, and you’ll own features end‑to‑end—from design to production—while collaborating with nurses, pharmacy partners, and internal ops.

You’ll contribute to a backend-heavy stack using Golang, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure. The role requires 7+ years of experience and US-based hours, with a strong emphasis on impact and fast iteration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Golang and backend web services.
• Experience with REST API development and evolving requirements.
• Based in the US and able to work US hours.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship high-impact features end-to-end, from design through production.
• Work directly with nurses, pharmacy partners, and internal ops to understand pain points and build solutions.
• Set a high technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on execution.
• Identify and drive technical initiatives around code quality, observability, and testing without waiting for permission.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete engineering plans and deliver them with minimal hand-holding.
• Collaborate across functions and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders about tradeoffs and timelines.
