Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join the Middle Office Core Platform Organization in Chicago.

You will design and implement Go-based modules, contribute to microservices architecture, and work on cloud-native solutions that power financial products across digital channels. You will collaborate with peers in fast-paced design sessions, emphasize code quality, and ensure scalable, resilient systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience (or 5 years with a Master's, or 2 with a PhD).
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, design patterns, and clean coding.
• Deep proficiency in Go and microservices development.

Responsibilities

• Design and program small modules and large components in Go.
• Drive features and sets of features within the Middle Office Core Platform.
• Engage in technical designs and whiteboarding with peers.
• Deliver tasks in a fast-paced delivery mode to meet release goals.
• Maintain code quality through unit tests and automation.
• Understand modules and interactions; serve as expert in assigned components.
• Help design interfaces and data exchange between modules.
• Focus on scalability, performance, and cloud-native deployment.
