Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join the Middle Office Core Platform Organization. You will design and build backend modules and features using Go in a microservices and cloud environment, delivering scalable, resilient systems for millions of users.

You will engage in design discussions, maintain high code quality, and collaborate with a multi-national team to meet ambitious product release goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM field required.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience (or 5 years with a Master's, or 2 years with a PhD).
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Extensive hands-on Go (Golang) development experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase).

Responsibilities

• Engage in technical discussions, participate in designs, and present ideas.
• Work closely with peers in fast-paced design and development team.
• Deliver tasks to meet product release goals in a timely manner.
• Maintain code quality with rigorous unit testing and automation.
• Understand module interrelationships and design interfaces between modules.
• Demonstrate scalability considerations and emphasize testing.
