Job summary

Lead Bank is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering fintech products. You will collaborate with product, design, and compliance to deliver features that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years building large-scale cloud-native systems, strong Go or Java skills, and proven leadership to mentor engineers and drive delivery across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of shipping successful projects.
• Experience building large scale systems in a cloud native environment (preferably AWS).
• Strong command of at least one language (preferably Go and/or Java).
• Designing large scale systems, developing and maintaining a high quality code base, and delivering challenging projects on schedule with high quality.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Ability to collaborate/compromise to get to the best, most efficient outcome.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to align stakeholders on the goals and deliverables.
• Curious, have humility and are open to learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain large scale backend systems with a focus on performance, reliability and scalability.
• Work closely with product managers and key stakeholders to define and roadmap and implement new features.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team while delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
