Shipt is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Core Services team to build and scale mission-critical backend systems powering the retailer management ecosystem. You will own complex technical tasks, ensuring production-readiness, scalability, and security across multi-region environments.

You will work closely with product managers and engineers, lead feature execution in a Go-based microservices stack on GCP with Kafka, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes, and mentor junior engineers to raise

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience writing production backend services in Go (Golang).
• Strong experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and multi-region systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive hands-on development of complex features and multi-region services.
• Design high-performance, scalable microservices and data pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code quality and reviews.
• Document architecture decisions and improve internal tooling.
