Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a senior or mid-career GNC Engineer to serve as a Certified Principal Engineer for an advanced IMU system. You’ll oversee production readiness, ensure aerospace quality compliance, and drive continuous-improvement across the IMU design.

You will translate system requirements into manufacturable solutions while maintaining traceability and configuration control. Proficiency in AI prompting for this role, with a minimum of 3+ years in related fields, is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of related experience in GNC or IMU systems.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Experience translating requirements into manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify and test IMU-guided navigation algorithms.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure traceability and control of changes.
• Lead production-readiness and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
