Job summary

Space Kinetic is seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer to lead the GNC subsystem from concept to mission operations. You will develop algorithms for flight software, test in simulation and hardware, and coordinate interfaces across teams and subcontractors.

The role is onsite in El Segundo, CA and requires a Bachelor's in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of GNC experience, MBSE familiarity, and hardware-in-the-loop exposure. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of GNC experience.
• Experience with spacecraft and satellite development and operations.
• Cross-functional collaboration across subsystems to meet mission requirements.
• U.S. citizen or eligible green card holder per ITAR requirements.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a novel GNC design for a unique spacecraft platform.
• Own GNC subsystem requirements and verification activities.
• Develop algorithms for FSW and perform Monte Carlo simulations.
• Collaborate with subcontractors for GNC software/hardware integration.
• Support design reviews and schedule milestones.
