Zusammenfassung

The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist at Wurth Industry US leads global trade programs, serving as a hands-on SME across import, export, sanctions, and license controls. Based in Houston, this role provides technical leadership, mentors to Trade Compliance Specialists, and partners with leaders and customers on complex regulatory matters.

You will own HTS determinations, valuation, origin, and license screening, while driving process improvements, audits, and governance.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years progressive trade compliance experience across import and export.
• Direct experience with HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determination.
• Experience with export controls (EAR, FTR), sanctions screening, and FTA qualification.
• Proficiency with CBP's ACE, including ACE reports and trade data analysis.
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker, CCS, CES, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with distribution, industrial products, or fasteners preferred.
• Experience with global manufacturer or multinational group preferred.

Aufgaben

• Own HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations across a high-SKU product portfolio.
• Assist with binding ruling requests; respond to CBP Requests for Information and Notices of Action.
• Manage customs broker relationships, entry review, and duty recovery.
• Monitor tariff actions and exclusions; maintain recordkeeping and audit readiness.
• Perform ECCN classification and license determinations under EAR; elevate ITAR-adjacent matters.
• Qualify products under USMCA and other FTAs; validate supplier origin certifications.
