Job summary

Wurth Industry USA is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist to join the Regulatory Compliance team in the U.S. as the hands-on SME across the full global trade lifecycle. You will own day-to-day execution of import/export programs, mentor Trade Compliance Specialists, and advise business leaders on trade matters.

You will serve as a technical resource, manage complex classifications, and back up the Manager of Trade and Logistics Compliance. A high level of independence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent job experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive trade compliance experience.
• HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determination experience.
• Experience with export controls (EAR, FTR) and sanctions screening.
• Familiar with CBP ACE reports and trade data analysis.
• Licensing/certification roles (CCS/CES/CSS) preferred.
• Experience in distribution, industrial products, or fasteners preferred.
• Global manufacturer or multinational group experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations across a high-SKU portfolio.
• Prepare and submit binding ruling requests; respond to CF-28 and CF-29.
• Manage customs broker relationships, entry review, and duty recovery.
• Monitor tariff actions (Section 301, IEEPA, Section 232) and exclusions.
• Maintain recordkeeping and audit readiness under 19 CFR; AES/EEI filing accuracy.
• ECCN classification and license determinations; advise on deemed exports.
• Qualify products under USMCA and FTAs; manage supplier origin certifications.
• Lead risk assessments, internal audits, and remediation planning.
• Build training materials for sales, sourcing, logistics, and customer service.
