Job summary

Wurth Industry US is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist to lead global trade lifecycle programs, including HTS classification, valuation, origin determinations, and licensing. The role acts as a technical resource, mentors junior staff, and advises on export controls, sanctions screening, and FTAs in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires deep knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, ACE reporting, and experience with ERP systems. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive trade compliance experience across import and export.
• Direct experience with HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determinat ion.
• Experience with EAR, FTR, sanctions screening, and FTAs; CBP ACE experience.
• Licensed broker or CCS/CES preferred.
• Experience with global manufacturers or multinational groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own HTS classification, valuation, and origin determinations across a high-SKU portfolio.
• Prepare and submit binding ruling requests; respond to CF-28/CF-29.
• Manage customs broker relationships; entry review and duty recovery.
• Monitor tariff actions and exclusions; maintain records and audit readiness.
• Classify under EAR; address deemed export and end-use diligence.
• Qualify products under USMCA/FTAs; manage supplier origin certs.
• Conduct forced labor due diligence under UFLPA; support CTPAT.
