Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in advising multinational businesses on trade compliance matters.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team, including leading a team, and ability to gain the trust of business stakeholders to achieve a desired objective.
• Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly articulate and visually present complex legal advice for senior executives; excellent written work product (policies, procedures, training).
• Passion for compliance work!

Responsibilities

• Setting the strategy and process for due diligence of customers and suppliers.
• Overseeing the company's restricted party screening program.
• Leading the team that performs due diligence work for global trade.
• Providing critical programmatic support for trade compliance organization enhancements throughout the global enterprise.
• Designing and advising on enhancements for trade compliance policies, and operating procedures.
• Developing and delivering trade compliance training for a variety of audiences.
• Assist in M&A and joint venture risk assessments, due diligence and integration plans.
• Assist in trade compliance-related internal investigations.
• Undertaking special projects and supporting other compliance program initiatives.
