Job summary

General Motors in Michigan is seeking a senior leader to own the end‑to‑end operational supply chain execution from suppliers to the manufacturing site. You will drive data‑driven decisions, build next‑gen capabilities, and elevate the team through innovation, digital adoption, and upskilling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in automotive supply chain or manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading teams (4–5 direct reports) in high‑pressure environments.
• Deep knowledge of material flow, production scheduling, supplier management, and logistics.
• Proven ability to drive innovation and capability transformation.
• Strong Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills; translate data into actions.
• Willingness to travel 10–40% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day operational supply chain execution to ensure material availability for automotive manufacturing and service parts fulfillment.
• Lead rapid issue identification, containment, and resolution for disruptions in supply, capacity, logistics, and suppliers.
• Lead engineering change management; ensure material availability related to launch excellence.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to drive timely decisions and trade‑offs.
• Monitor core operational KPIs (material availability, supplier performance, inventory health, premium freight, schedule adherence).
• Identify and deploy innovative solutions that reduce manual work and strengthen operational resilience.
• Translate emerging technologies and analytics into practical, scalable operational use cases.
• Drive standardization and simplification through improved tools, workflows, and playbooks.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and problem‑solving rigor.
