Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll administration experience with multi-state tax compliance
• Deep understanding of wage-and-hour laws and payroll tax guidelines
• Experience managing payroll systems and data updates
• Strong data verification and pivot table skills
• Analytical ability to audit datasets and diagnose payroll issues
• Maintain strict confidentiality of compensation records

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of multi-state payroll runs (semi-monthly and bi-weekly) with accuracy and compliance
• Audit and reconcile payroll inputs including wages, deductions, and tax entries
• Coordinate employee lifecycle changes and benefits deductions impacting payroll
• Handle registration and tax compliance for state/local jurisdictions
• Update payroll procedures to mitigate risks and compliance gaps
• Support year-end payroll tasks and employer reporting statements
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clear, empathetic support
• Improve payroll workflows with automation to reduce manual work
• Prepare detailed payroll reporting for internal compliance and reconciliation
