Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to serve as a subject matter expert and strategic partner within the accounting department. Requires 5–7 years of payroll experience, familiarity with JD Edwards/Oracle/ADP, and CPP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of full-cycle payroll experience including multi-state payrolls.
• Experience with international payroll preferred.
• JD Edwards or similar ERP experience preferred.
• CPP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll process for salaried and hourly employees.
• Interpret wage and hour laws and internal policies to resolve issues.
• Advise management on payroll tax implications and internal controls.
• Validate compensation data and reconcile discrepancies pre-submission.
• Maintain payroll systems for domestic and international employees.
• Assist with payroll tax withholdings and statutory payments.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings and reporting.
• Collaborate with external tax vendors and internal departments.
• Prepare ad-hoc payroll reports and maintain records.
• Support audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Identify process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Document payroll procedures and communicate policies.
• Provide guidance to payroll team and maintain confidentiality.
