Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a Payroll Supervisor in Portland, Oregon to join the in-house payroll team. This role reports to the Payroll Manager and supports processing high-volume bi-weekly payroll for domestic and international employees using JD Edwards.

The position requires 5+ years of payroll experience, multi-state exposure, and strong confidentiality. The successful candidate will oversee new hire setup, tax compliance, month-end close, and payroll inquiries while working in-office.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ experience in in-house payroll.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and international payroll.
• FPC certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for domestic and international employees.
• Tax compliance, and set up; quarterly SUI reporting.
• Oversee new hires in Oracle and E1; maintain records.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
• Support month-end closing and statutory reporting.
