Qualifikationen

• 5–8+ years of hands-on payroll processing and reconciliation experience (US & Canada required).
• Demonstrated experience supporting organizational projects, system implementations, or complex tax reconciliation initiatives.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPP or PCP designation preferred.
• Experience operating in a remote-first, multi-entity environment.
• Advanced knowledge of third-party payroll systems (ADP, iiPay, Hibob).

Aufgaben

• Tax Reconciliation & Audits: Federal, state, local US tax filings; prepare supporting documentation and correction files.
• Year-End Operations & Balancing: Pre-year-end audit checks, data hygiene reviews, and W-2/1099 and T4/RL-1 issuance balancing.
• Organizational Project Support: Report generation, data extraction, profile audits, system alignment, and validation tests between platforms.
• BAU Payroll Processing & Backfill: Validate inputs for hourly/salaried populations across US and Canada; manage benefits, reimbursements, and deductions.
• Employee Support & Ticketing: Resolve pay inquiries, tax withholding adjustments, and historical pay adjustments with accuracy.
• Compliance & Vendor Alignment: Coordinate with CRA, Revenu Québec, IRS, and vendors (ADP, iiPay) to resolve discrepancies.
• SOX and government reporting support; collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll issues.
• Administer benefits and RRSP programs, including deductions and vendor reporting.
