Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support the payroll department in processing and administering payroll for the USA and Canada, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee pay, benefits deductions and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The role works with the Payroll Lead on day-to-day operations, including timecard adjustments, garnishments, tax withholdings and reporting.

Remote/hybrid work is available for qualified candidates in the United States or Canada.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of payroll experience.
• Knowledge of state and provincial payroll laws.
• Experience with multi-country payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly disbursement of multi-country payroll with garnishments, benefits and taxes.
• Process hires, changes, direct deposits and terminations promptly.
• Oversee and adjust employees' timecards daily.
• Assist employees with payroll, time-off and retirement plan questions.
• Review monthly sales commissions and quarterly reports.
• Prepare provincial and federal payroll reports and filings.
• Handle direct deposit setup and maintenance; ensure compliance.
