Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Network Development Manager to lead the Building Connectivity Engineering Network team in AWS Networking, overseeing Data Centers globally and a 6+ person team of Network Development Engineers. You will deliver scalable, low-latency solutions while controlling costs.

You will drive strategy, capacity planning, project delivery, recruiting, and automation, and work with AWS leaders to set the team’s vision and improve incident and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years people management experience or relevant leadership experience, managing a team of 8+ individual contributors.
• 3+ years of past experience with network engineering either as a manager or individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a global network development team.
• Drive incident/change management and automation initiatives.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring activities to scale the team.
• Define and deliver strategic goals for the Topology team and communicate status to leadership.
• Travel to data center/network sites as needed and manage 24x7 on-call rotations.
