Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects in the Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability (GEMS) Organization. You'll lead a team of support personnel, manage large capital projects, and coordinate multiple vendors to meet timelines and budgets.

Role requires up to 80% travel nationwide and being available to work from a corporate office when not traveling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery.
• Owns program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate.
• Influence design and development of strategic processes.
• Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and governs the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task.
• Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary.
• Responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live.
• Travel up to 80% nationwide with air travel to regional airports and site locations; a valid driver's license is required.
