Job summary

Stratasys in the United States seeks an Import Operations Specialist to coordinate inbound international shipments, prepare trade documentation, and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and regulatory requirements.

You will partner with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize costs, monitor performance, and maintain accurate records, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field as listed.
• 5+ years of international transportation, freight forwarding, import operations, customs brokerage, or global logistics experience.
• Experience managing U.S. import shipments and coordinating customs clearance activities.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation, Incoterms, customs processes, freight terms, and transportation operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound international shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and trade documentation (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates, etc.).
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth imports.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, holds, or discrepancies.
• Support customs clearance activities and timely information submission to brokers/regulators.
• Review entries, tariff classifications, and clearance documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, CBP, FDA, USDA, and other regulations.
• Analyze transportation costs and service performance to identify savings.
• Report key metrics on transit times, spend, and customs performance.
• Identify risks and drive corrective actions; act as liaison with partners.
