Job summary

ZemiTek is seeking a Senior Global Health Security Epidemiology Advisor to support the U.S. Embassy Jakarta ECON Health Unit. This role involves providing strategic advice on infectious disease threats and public health preparedness, primarily in Indonesia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia. This position allows remote work with occasional onsite obligations at the Ministry of Health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of fifteen years of experience in applied epidemiology and global health.
• Demonstrated experience in outbreak investigation and emergency response.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on epidemiological methods and outbreak investigations.
• Lead the design and evaluation of zoonotic disease surveillance systems.
• Collaborate with the MoH on pandemic preparedness.
• Participate in responses to infectious disease outbreaks.
