Job summary

Resolve to Save Lives is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor, Data Use and Decision Science to bridge complex epidemiological data with strategic public health actions. The role focuses on the DRC Collaborative Surveillance portfolio, strengthening real‑time decision making through data integration and contextual factors, and contributing to epidemic intelligence training and co‑design workshops.

The position is full‑time and remote for a fixed term of 2 years, reporting to the Principal Advisor,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., public health, epidemiology, informatics, statistics). PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
• At least 12 years of experience in infectious disease surveillance and analytics or public health emergency management.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into decision-ready outputs such as bulletins and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Support epidemic intelligence activities informing decision‑making with data‑use products and automated pipelines.
• Collaborate with country offices and HQ to map systems and identify priorities for surveillance.
• Provide hands‑on mentorship to build local analytical capacity for sustained operations.
• Train staff on DHIS2, EMS, R, and data product generation.
