Job summary

Goldbelt Apex seeks an experienced Global Health Security Technical Advisor to strengthen outbreak detection and response capabilities with international public health partners. You will lead technical assistance and capacity-building activities, applying the 7-1-7 framework and coordinating with CDC and MOHs.

The role requires expertise in global health, emergency preparedness, and data-driven improvement planning, plus excellent communication and facilitation skills for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, global health, emergency management, epidemiology, health sciences, international development, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in global public health and emergency management, preparedness, or response.
• Experience applying metrics and analytical frameworks to improve public health preparedness.
• Experience developing and delivering training, coaching, workshops, and technical assistance.
• Experience working with government agencies and international public health partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation and facilitation on outbreak detection, notification, and response using the 7-1-7 framework.
• Assess timeline data, identify bottlenecks, and propose actionable improvements for surveillance systems.
• Develop improvement plans with goals, timeframes, and responsible parties.
• Deliver training, coaching, and capacity-building activities to partners.
• Plan and facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings with international partners.
• Document decisions, actions, and reporting for follow-up and accountability.
