Job summary

Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL) invites applications for a Senior Technical Advisor, Data Use and Decision Science. This remote, two-year term role focuses on bridging epidemiological data with strategic public health action, supporting the DRC Collaborative Surveillance portfolio and Ebola preparedness.

You will mentor in-country teams, develop data use products and dashboards, and deliver actionable analytics to strengthen real-time decision making, working with HQ, national partners and global

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, informatics, or statistics.
• At least 12 years of experience in infectious disease surveillance or analytics.
• Experience supporting Ebola outbreaks and working in Africa preferred.
• Ability to translate complex data into decision-ready outputs and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Support epidemic intelligence activities informing decisions with data products.
• Map systems and data needs to guide surveillance architecture.
• Provide mentorship to build local analytical capacity in-country.
• Train staff on DHIS2, EMS, R and GIS tools.
• Develop country workplans and budgets for surveillance initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners (WHO, CDC, UNICEF) to align initiatives.
• Evaluate impact of surveillance initiatives.
• Develop use cases for wastewater, serosurveillance, and genomic surveillance.
• Pioneer innovations using AI and contextual data for forecasting.
• Synthesize learnings into strategic dissemination products.
