Job summary

Credence in Washington, DC, seeks a Humanitarian Health Advisor, Ebola Response Consultant to join the Disaster Humanitarian and Response Bureau. You will provide technical leadership across health, WASH, nutrition, and protection to support emergency health activities.

This role requires US citizenship with an active Secret clearance, postgraduate study plus 7 years in emergency relief, and experience with international NGOs or USG partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus seven years in emergency relief and humanitarian aid.
• Overseas experience with international NGOs, UN agencies, or USG.
• Fluency in emergency humanitarian health interventions and programming guidance.
• US citizenship with an active Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Response Lead on strategies for Ebola outbreak response.
• Liaise with technical leads and DC-based pillar leads.
• Advise on programming and when to provide technical assistance.
• Engage with health clusters to understand gaps and plans.
• Evaluate health programming gaps and assess current awards.
• Coordinate with humanitarian partners to identify gaps and challenges.
• Attend pillar meetings to discuss technical gaps and supports.
• Serve as a USG humanitarian health sector resource person.
• Provide technical review of NGO/UN proposals.
