Job summary

Whatnot is seeking a strategic operator to drive international expansion across the UK, France, Germany and Canada, working with Product and Engineering to build scalable solutions and own market metrics.

You will scale the marketing engine through rigorous capital deployment analysis and channel decisions, while partnering with StratFin and Data to inform pricing and growth investments. A strong cross-functional communicator will lead end-to-end improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related field.
• 5–6+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or a fast-growing startup.
• Fluency in German or French with strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to move quickly with little structure and guidance.
• Curiosity to learn about different parts of the business and how to pull levers to grow faster.
• Ability to operate independently and dive deep on ambiguous projects.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functionally and communicate clearly.
• Fluency in using AI tools to enhance problem-solving and execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering to scale international markets (UK, FR, DE, CA) and own key metrics.
• Scale marketing through rigorous analysis of capital deployment and channel decisions.
• Analyze margin levers with StratFin and Data to guide pricing and investments.
• Build tooling to track progress, highlight metrics, allocate resources and remove blockers.
• Translate learnings into initiatives that improve buyer and seller experiences and resolve high-impact issues end-to-end.
