Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Nashville, Tennessee, seeks a Sr. Innovation and Design Engineer to lead design of fulfillment and distribution systems worldwide. You will own multiple projects from concept through design approval, interfacing with suppliers and internal teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The role covers green-field, brown-field and retrofit work across North America and Europe, with high visibility projects and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design and innovation, R&D experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
• Experience managing engineering design projects.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
• 5+ years of specialty experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or related field.
• Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, and system dynamics.
• Experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience with design-in-safety.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost-effective fulfillment systems.
• Own multiple projects from concept through design approval and hand-off to Ops Engineering.
• Support installation and commissioning to ensure successful launch.
