Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of fulfillment and transportation systems. You will work with a world-class team of engineers on physical distribution projects and own high-impact engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, manage multiple projects, and provide technical leadership for large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
• 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development experience.
• Experience in management of engineering design projects.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain.
• Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the transportation network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and IP considerations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions in very short periods of time.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects.
