Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Sr. Innovation & Design Engineer for Worldwide Design and Engineering.

You will own the complete design journey for automated material handling systems across North America and Europe, from concept through final approval, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. This role requires travel about 25%, leadership of multiple projects, and a strong mix of robotics, automation, and best-practice design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience.
Experience in management of engineering design projects.
Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural and mechanical design of complex fulfillment center systems from concept to final approval.
Create detailed design specifications for automated material handling equipment and robotics.
Develop engineering calculations to validate performance and efficiency.
Own multiple concurrent projects and act as technical lead for suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards and support installation and commissioning.
