Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to oversee major AMER expansion projects within the Global Design and Construction team. You will partner with Design, Construction, Procurement, Finance, PMO, Legal, and Corporate Development to drive down costs, manage risks, and ensure robust financial controls across a multi-site portfolio.

The role requires senior-level commercial management experience, data center familiarity, and strong Excel/Power BI capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction, business, financial or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a Commercial Management role at a senior level.
Data center experience preferred.
RICS accreditation preferred.
Detail oriented with accurate input and proofreading skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and communication skills.
Strong Excel and Power BI skills.

Responsibilities

Procurement of third-party consultants for design and pre-construction services.
Develop detailed RFPs and deliverables for commercial management.
Manage third-party consultants to meet deliverables timely and to high standard.
Create contractor procurement strategies with CM team.
Negotiate General Contractor contracts with Legal and COE.
Prepare budgets, cost models and cashflow forecasts.
Monitor project budgets and perform cost reviews and VE proposals.
Oversee monthly cost reports and change management.
