Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate in the US G&I practice to support daily GL, AP, and expense functions. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, promote internal controls, and support audits while leveraging Costpoint and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 4–6 years of related accounting experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Deltek Costpoint required
• Experience with government contracting
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and lookup functions

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Ensure transactions comply with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.
• Review journal entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules by deadlines.
• Maintain audit-ready journal entry documentation.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues and variances.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports.
• Train staff on policies and procedures.
• Maintain vendor master records and reconcile AP subledger.
• Develop AP/expense procedure guides and training materials.
• Assist with Costpoint configuration/testing and enhancements.
