Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day‑to‑day ledger operations, AP, and expenses. You’ll prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with close cycles, ensuring GAAP and federal regulations compliance. Strong collaboration with finance teams and use of Costpoint are expected.

Frontline responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and audits while supporting process improvements in a government contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience with government contracting and GAAP/financial controls.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger structures and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and expense processing and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and EY policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with finance teams and respond to audit requests.
