Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking a General Ledger Senior Accountant to support monthly close, journal entries for multiple legal entities, reconciliations, and revenue analysis across our charter school network.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency with an ERP system and Excel. CPA or candidate preferred; strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience; public or corporate experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field is required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in an ERP system and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close and journal entries for multiple legal entities.
• Perform reconciliations for sub-ledgers against the general ledger.
• Lead revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations and analyses.
• Analyze variances in financial statements and explain fluctuations.
• Ensure accuracy of ledger entries and intercompany reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements and support accounting projects.
• Assist training of junior staff.
