Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, and accounting principles/theory.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and policies.
• Perform transactional and operational accounting for assigned entities and areas.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations using GL data and information from internal/external sources.
• Analyze GL account fluctuations and investigate variances.
• Review and interpret accounting records, financial statements, and related information.
• Research and resolve accounting questions and provide explanations to stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits, including workpapers and auditor inquiries.
• Assist with SOX/internal control testing and documentation.
• Follow accounting policies, procedures, and controls while identifying process improvements.
• Participate in accounting initiatives, special projects, and other assignments as needed.
• Communicate accounting issues and findings to management promptly.
