ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking a General Ledger Senior Accountant to support our brick-and-mortar and hybrid schools across multiple entities. The role focuses on monthly close, reconciliations, and revenue analytics within a complex ledger environment.

You will lead reconciliations, improve processes, and assist with training junior staff while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting in a high-demand educational network.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, public accounting or corporate accounting preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in an ERP system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform highly detailed work under tight deadlines and handle competing priorities.
• Demonstrated history of problem solving.

Mansioni

• Support all general ledger tasks including monthly close and journal entries for multiple legal entities.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple legal entities of sub ledgers/calculated schedules against general ledger and assess reasonableness of ending balances.
• Lead revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations and analysis.
• Perform variance analyses for financial statements and explain fluctuations month over month, year over year, and against plan.
• Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
• Identify possible efficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions.
• Support various accounting projects.
• Oversee the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with training junior staff.
• Ability to analyze and validate financial statements.
