Fireworks AI, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to own the month-end close, GL, and intercompany activities as the business scales in the US.

You will manage journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across entities, partnering with AP, FP&A, Tax, and Legal while improving processes and controls. The role requires hands-on accounting experience, a solid GAAP foundation, and ERP familiarity; CPA progression is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 4–6 years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience.
• Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close tasks (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany, and foreign currency a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and spend management platforms (Ramp).
• Advanced Excel skills with auditable schedules.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing clear documentation.
• SOX readiness exposure or controls/docs experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and depreciation.
• Own operating expense accruals with support from AP, Procurement and budget owners.
• Maintain prepaid schedules and amortization for software, cloud, and compute.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis and explain drivers behind expenses.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear reconciling items.
• Tie payroll and benefits postings to the GL.
• Support international subsidiaries including intercompany eliminations.
• Assist with tax filings and local compliance as needed.
• Maintain accurate GL coding across ERP and spend platforms.
• Participate in ERP enhancements and SOX-ready controls; document procedures.
• Assist with automation of close steps using ERP and AI-enabled processes.
