Job summary

Magnolia River is seeking a GIS Specialist to support day-to-day GIS production projects and lead technical activities for pipeline GIS initiatives. You will coordinate project teams, document procedures, and contribute to client-facing presentations and data quality control.

The role requires a strong background in ArcGIS, ESRI tools, and geoprocessing, with experience in PODS/UPDM data models and proficiency in Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Engineering, or Business Management or equivalent relevant technical experience.
• 4-6 years ArcGIS/GIS experience with emphasis in geoprocessing tasks.
• Languages: Python, SQL
• Extensive ESRI-suite knowledge.
• ArcPro 3.1 or higher.
• Advanced geoprocessing; ModelBuilder/ArcToolbox; ArcSDE.
• Understanding PODS and UPDM data models.
• Understanding the utility sector and midstream sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in day-to-day technical coordination for GIS projects.
• Conduct data modeling and migration/conversion workshops.
• Meet with client management and technical teams.
• Prepare and present technical materials to clients.
• Develop and document GIS procedures for project execution.
• Oversee GIS project teams and manage project status and progress.
• Communicate issues to leadership and project teams.
• Perform quality control on GIS data and ensure compliance.
